Submit Your Entry For The Bigger Picture Photography Competition

We love the Bigger Picture Gallery on Anerley Hill, it is a meeting place for local art lovers and offers up-an-coming and established artists a professional exhibition platform and an opportunity to meet and network with other creative types. They regularly holds art events, classes and competitions, even though it has only been open a short time, the gallery's success has meant much more exposure and recongnition for local and community talents.

The Bigger Picture Gallery has a host of prestigious local sponsors who provide support for the many exhibitions and art contests held at the gallery, most recently the popular - 2010 Summer Exhibition, backed by SG Smith Motors with a £250 first prize.

This September the gallery is taking submissions for another sponsor backed exhibition - The Pedder Photography, complete with £500 first prize. This competition is really about producing an exciting and well captured, thought provoking and inspiring photograph.

It is a great opportunity for photographers of all levels to be part of one of South London's newest creative spaces and gauge the public's reaction to their work.

If you would like to submit YOUR photograph then you will need to download the required entry form and take the completed form (with £10 fee) to the gallery, to register on one of the following submission dates:

Saturday 25th Sept - (10.30am - 5.30 pm)

Sunday 26th Sept - (11am - 4pm)

Saturday 2nd Oct - (10.30am - 5.30pm)

Sunday 3rd Oct - (11am - 4pm)

Unusually there is no specific theme for photographs, allowing much more creative freedom, but all entrants MUST submit their photographs (up to 3) in frames no bigger than 244 × 350 cm.

So if you think you have snapped what you think could be a winning photograph, then what are you waiting for, £500 could come in very handy!

The Pedder Phtotgraphy Competition opens on 23rd Oct untill 28th Nov 2010.
