I have heard on the grapevine that the Cambridge Pub will be closing in the very near future, however this is not the first time I've heard rumours of such a pleasing nature. Most locals and visitors who enjoy Crystal Palace nightlife, will know that the delapidated pub has a particularly bad reputation, fuelled by the likes of the clientelle (if that's what you can call them) allowed in the premises. On any given weekend night a long line of reprebates spill out from the noisy, den of iniquity onto the main streets, sometimes leading to fights and generally bringing the area into disrepute, but this is my personal opinion. My friends and I all agree that given the classy, artistic vision most locals have for the area, the Cambridge would make a lovely, intimate jazz cafe styled bar, providing a stylish hangout for a more cultured crowd and sufficiently erasing the problematic stain on the most predominant corner of the Triangle.
