Two cars involved in Croydon and Lambeth collisions

Officers investigating collisions in Croydon and Lambeth which left a women dead and two in a critical condition, now believe that an Audi and a Volkswagen were involved.
It's believed each contained just one man with no passengers.
In the early hours of Saturday, 22 December, two cars - an Audi and a Volkswagen - were in collision in London Road, Croydon at the junction with Ederline Avenue.
Plain clothes officers, who had been on duty nearby, identified themselves as police officers.
Upon the intervention of police, one man made off from the scene in the Audi.
Officers stayed with the injured driver of the Volkswagen until he was taken to hospital
Later on, the same Audi was involved in a collision with two people on Streatham High Road in Lambeth.
A woman in her 30's believed to have been standing at a bus stop was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man waiting at the bus stop also sustained injuries during the collision.
A man driving an Audio left the car and fled before officers arrived and no arrests have been made.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Catford are investigating together with colleagues from Croydon and Lambeth.
