Man charged following Streatham and Croydon collision

A man from Clapham has been charged with death by dangerous driving and GBH in connection to collisions in Streatham and Croydon.
Nathan Davis, 27, of Normanton House, SW4, was charged last night after handing himself in.
Police were appealing for information following two collisions which left one woman dead and two men injured.
A Volkswagen Passat was in collision with a tree in London Road, Croydon at the junction with Ederline Avenue on Saturday 22nd December.
It is believed that an Audi A3 stopped at the scene of the incident and the driver got out of the car.
Plain clothes officers, who had been on duty nearby, identified themselves as police officers. Upon the arrival of police, the driver of the Audi made off from the scene in his car.
Officers stayed with the injured driver of the VW until he was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Later on the early hours, the same Audi was involved in a collision with two people on Streatham High Road.
A woman who was standing at a bus stop on Streatham High Road - was pronounced dead at the scene.
31-year-old Veronica Vanessa Chango-Alvarez staying at her mother's home in Streatham High Road SW16.
A post-mortem gave cause of death as multiple injuries.
A man in his fifties also standing at the bus stop - was taken to hospital, where his condition remains critical.
The driver of the car left the scene before officers' arrival. The damaged Audi was abandoned at the scene.
