Jubilee Hall has opened it's doors on the Tulse Hill Estate after a massive refurbishment.
Former resident of the estate Ken Livingston, and Councillor Marcia Cameron were there to celebrate on Saturday afternoon.
The afternoon of entertainment included the opportunity for residents to have a tour of the Centre and see the new facilities on offer.
The building has undergone a vast transformation after two years of hard work by
the residents, Lambeth Living, the Police and donations from Barclays.
The building will now be used for a Community Centre as well as being a 'satellite office' for the SNT.
Sgt Anton Menzies of Tulse Hill SNT said: "This is significant celebration for the local community who has worked tirelessly over the last two years getting this Community Centre renovated officially open."
"We have certainly added our weight and support to the programme by helping them bring investment from the private and banking sectors."
"Since we started using the base in November 2011 and during its subsequent refurbishment, the feedback from the local community
has been positive."
