Local artist and businesswoman Angelique Hartigan, who previously owned our once beloved Bigger Picture Gallery, is launching the Gipsy Hill Workshops for their Summer Open Studios on Saturday 13th August from 10 am-6pm, in time for the Crystal Palace Overground Festival.

"Open Studios provide a unique opportunity to meet the artists, it's also a great opportunity to pick up an affordable and unique gift or a treat for yourself. As well as what's on sale many of the artists and designers work to commission so you can have something made to personally suit your tastes."
As well as a selection of art, paintings, pictures, sculptures and ceramics for people to enjoy there will also be demonstrations, bespoke tailoring, children's' ceramics workshops, DJs in the courtyard and a silent auction, where locals will get a chance to bid on one of Angelique Hartigan's beautiful oil paintings. Get bidding.
There is even the chance to grab some great incentives and discounts on art pieces, with some artists offering 10% off prints and paintings bought on the day.
After the loss of the Bigger Picture Gallery it's good to have a vibrant, creative space back in Crystal Palace, so if you love art and design and would like to get something commissioned as a gift it's definitely worth a visit.
