Wrap up warm and get training!

...And some love!
There are a total of six Age UK chairty races taking place across the country, throughout March and the very first kicks off in Crystal Palace Park on Sunday March 4th, so if you are serious about getting fit, have always wanted to run a considerable distance but don't think you're ready for the London Marathon yet, then this is a great compromise.
On top of that all funds raised will go to the Age UK winter Spread the Warmth Campaign, which helps to look after older people at what can be a very difficult time of year for many older people. The campaign was launched last year in response to the deaths of more than 200 older people every day in the winter.
Those interested in entering must complete the online application and pay the registration fee of £14.95. The race kicks off at 10am and all entrants must arrive at least 30 mins before. This year the campaign also has backing of celebrity keep fit guru, Derrick Evans also known as 'Mr Motivator', he is one of Britain's best known personal trainers. As well as Graham Cole, best known as PC Tony Stamp on The Bill.
If you have any questions or would like some further information email: 10k@ageuk.org.uk or call the free 10k hotline: 0800 169 8787.
So get your kicks on, get fit and help save some elderly people from a miserably cold winter in the process!
